Ad templates don't work with Articles

+2
−0

Ad templates (which community ads use) don't give an image for Article type posts.

For example, for this promoted post, the image url that is used in the sidebar is https://languages.codidact.com/ca/posts/277380.png which gives a 500 server error and so appears as a dead image icon.

This also applies to category ad templates for categories using Article types, e.g. these also fail and would give a dead image icon if embedded:

https://languages.codidact.com/ca/category/40.png https://judaism.codidact.com/ca/category/43.png

The bug with ads for individual articles is fixed.

The ad templates for random posts (at all, or from a specific category) apply some selection criteria, so we don't accidentally promote poorly-received posts, closed questions, etc. I'm not sure what those criteria are, but according to a comment on the GitHub issue, the categories you linked don't currently contain any posts that qualify. (Acknowledged that the error-handling there could be better.)
