Can't delete a post after a user deleted his answer

I tried to delete a question without answers after a user has deleted his answer to the post but I got the following error:

This post cannot be deleted because it has responses.

I flagged and also closed the question but I assume that this error needs documentation (which I didn't find from a quick search with the site's search box).

I think we should add "something" in documentation. But i won’t allow people to remove the question after answer deletion also.

There's a good reason. I was answering in question SO after posting an answer i realized i should research about the post cause there's lot of thing is missing so i had simply deleted that answer. After deletion, i had read some doc and came back to re-edit that post what i saw that is that question was deleted. Later, what i thought that is i just wasted my time to write posts.

We are currently showing the following error always

This post cannot be deleted because it has responses.

My suggestion is to show some other error if all child posts were deleted.

Is it better?

your post can't be deleted.

Or:

your post can't be deleted because someone had already answered on the post and the answer is now deleted.

I had seen in SO that some deletes their post to gain their reputation back. After some comments, they delete question when they get the solution. So who were writting answer will feel like it’s just waste of time. It is one of the reason of leaving SO also.
