Q&A

Welcome to Codidact Meta!

Codidact Meta is the meta-discussion site for the Codidact community network and the Codidact software. Whether you have bug reports or feature requests, support questions or rule discussions that touch the whole network – this is the site for you.

Please add a dropdown menu when filtering by category

In the search bar, when filtering by post type, a dropdown menu with all the available options is displayed:

Which is nice, as I don't need to know/remember which number means what. I just choose an option, and the respective number is filled for me.

When filtering by category, though, there's no such thing, and I need to know its numeric id. According to Help Center (emphasis mine):

To filter by category, you will need to know the unique numeric id for that category. This can be found by looking at the url shown when you click to view all posts in a particular category.

While it's not that hard to find the category's id, it would be very nice if there was a dropdown menu for it (similar to what's displayed for post type).

Can we have that?
