Deleted answers are being shown to logged-out users, but not to logged-in users without the Curate privilege

The title pretty much sums it up.

It looks to me as though deleted answers are visible to anyone who isn't logged in, but they aren't visible once you're logged in (at least as a user without the Curate privilege).

For example, compare How long does it take for energy to propagate in a circuit? on Electrical Engineering when logged in as a normal user (that is, one without Curate) and when not logged in at all. Beware: not safe for work.

It looks to me as though this might have been introduced by 19ed348a, as that commit appears to have moved where deletion status is checked, but I don't know enough context to say for certain whether or not that's the case or if this was introduced by some entirely unrelated change.

In either case, I would call this a pretty serious bug as the whole purpose of deleting posts is to keep low-quality content out of sight.
