Languages & Linguistics Codidact does not currently have any reactions enabled. This means that when you go to react to a post, there are no available reactions, and so you can't actually react.

I'm aware that it's confusing to show the "react" feature when you can't actually use it; we should probably change it so that it doesn't show up if you can't use it. Thanks for bringing this up.

(If you want to enable reactions on Languages & Linguistics, that would be a discussion to bring up in their Meta category.)

Thanks for reporting the issue and sorry we kept you waiting! We haven't quite mastered how to update on-site topics related to a GitHub issue yet, so it took us a while to route back and update this.

We deployed a fix via commit e95bebb, which was released to production within the last month (of this post date), and I have verified there is no react button any more on the answer you linked.

The correct status tag will be applied when someone with mod or edit access here sees my suggested edit doing just that and approves it.
