License CC BY-SA 3.0 only available on Writing and Outdoors

For 2 communities (Writing and Outdoors) the License drop down list when making a new post shows an option of CC BY-SA 3.0:

Dropdown list for license, showing CC BY-SA 3.0

For all of the other Codidact communities this option is not present.

Is the option only there for historical reasons, or do Writing and Outdoors have community-specific reasons for needing CC BY-SA 3.0 to be selectable in future?

If it's just that some posts have that license historically, could it be removed from the drop down list to prevent it being used for new posts?

If it is removed for both communities, then Incorrect description for CC BY-SA 3.0 in license drop down list will no longer apply and can be closed without change.

Writing and Outdoors both originally imported content from Stack Exchange, which was licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0[1]. As such, they needed to have that license available on those posts.

Since then, the vast majority of the imported posts have been removed, and I agree that it doesn't make sense to have future posts with an outdated license. As such, I've gone ahead and disabled the CC BY-SA 3.0 license on both Writing and Outdoors. (This will not affect posts that currently have that license; it only prevents its use on future posts.)

  1. Although it was actually a mix of 2.5, 3.0, and 4.0, that wasn't made clear from SE's side at the time. ↩︎
