Was score system changed?

Noticed that score (reputation) is different than I would expect. Bigger.

Why is it changed?

How is it calculated now? 10 for Q and 15 for A?

Why should this post be closed?

Various things, not all of them understood, affect the accuracy of the reported reputation number. For example, sometimes a post is deleted or undeleted but the reputation adjustments don't get made. A system-wide reputation recalculation updates rep numbers by recomputing all of them.

An admin ran a reputation recalc yesterday, causing some numbers to change.

The scoring system hasn't changed.

Ok, that's great. I hope you don't mind of a bit of off-topic comment. Maybe I just misunderstood how reputation is calculated? I assumed it's 10 for upvote on an answer and 5 for upvote on a question. Let's take user53232 as an example. He's got 40 rep. and I clearly don't know why it's exactly 40 and not 20 or something. ‭FoggyFinder‭ about 2 months ago

@FoggyFinder yes it's supposed to be +5 for questions, +10 for answers or articles, -2 for downvotes. I think there might be a bug; checking with folks. ‭Monica Cellio‭ about 2 months ago

@MonicaCellio My numbers also jumped, similar to the last time: from under 700 to over 800. ‭Zerotime‭ about 2 months ago

There was an error in the recalculation script that accidentally switched the reputation levels between questions (+5 for upvote) and answers (+10 for upvote). This has been fixed now and a full recalc has been done.
