Can there be an option to cancel writing a comment; AFAIK, the only way to do that now is to refresh the page, which is annoying to do (especially when feeling lazy).

I've been meaning to ask for this too. Often you are writing an answer as comments pop up, and you might want to post comments at the same time as you are writing an answer. You don't want to refresh the page then.

Ctrl-A + Backspace... yes, this would be nice to have, but it's not something we have spare development time for at the moment - perhaps further down the line.
