Bug Reports category

Meta should have a dedicated category for bug reports, to increase the chance that users will pile onto an existing bug report rather than create new ones.

Even people who can't be bothered to search, are on a platform where searching is painful, or who search ineffectively, might notice a dup report on the first page of a bug category.

Could you elaborate on why using the tag to see just bug reports doesn't address the problem? Thanks.

Exhibit A: my bug report from last night embarrassingly closed as a dup.

Even with a dedicated category, there's no way we can expect people to search through every post just in case it might have been reported before... duplicates happen, they're not a bad thing - and they deliberately don't count against you in any way.
