  • **Issue #1:** On the "tags" tab, there's an option to sort by hierarchy. As it stands, what that sort view _actually_ does is sort alphabetically by parent title. (For this point alone I've added the [bug] tag on the grounds that this may have simply been mislabeled.)
  • **Issue #2:** When viewing a tag, the only way AFAICT to view all of its child tags is a non-so-obvious (to me) link under the tag name.
  • # Proposal.
  • 1. Rename the current hierarchy sort "alphabetical."
  • 2. Create a new sort by hierarchy, which only displays top-level parent tags.
  • 3. Upon clicking on a tag, list all of the child tags at the top of the page, under the tag wiki and above the post list; only display "view child tags" as a link following this list, and only when the list exceeds a certain amount of tags (ex. nine tags = three lines; once there's ten tags, display just the first eight plus a link for "view all child tags").
  • **Issue #1:** On the "tags" tab, there's an option to sort by hierarchy. When you have a lot of child tags under the same parent tag, or multiple parents next to each other with lots of children, things get...confusing. Especially when they have grandchildren and in-laws.

Feature requests for tag filtering and sorting
**Issue #1:** On the "tags" tab, there's an option to sort by hierarchy. As it stands, what that sort view _actually_ does is sort alphabetically by parent title. (For this point alone I've added the [bug] tag on the grounds that this may have simply been mislabeled.)

**Issue #2:** Additionally, when clicking on a tag, you can see how many posts contain that tag or its child tags, but there's no way to see at a glance _how many_ or _which_ tags fall under the same parent.

# Proposal.

1. Rename the current hierarchy sort "alphabetical."
2. Create a new sort by hierarchy, which only displays top-level parent tags.
3. Upon clicking on a tag, next to the "Tag Only" and "Tag + Children" views, create a third tab for "View Child Tags," or else list all of the child tags at the top of the page, under the tag wiki and above the post list.
