The last activity shown there was for the whole page, same as what you see in the question list. That's confusing in the history case, as you point out. We talked about updating it to show the correct information, but since the entire history is already shown, you can easily see what the last activity *on this post* was -- it's the top entry in the list. So we removed the misleading text.
