We had a lot of [discussion](https://github.com/codidact/qpixel/issues/403) about how to approach this, keeping responsive design in mind, and decided to add the search icon but not move the search bar into the header. I admit that you don't know on hover, when it lights up, whether clicking it will navigate away or give you a pop-out; we have some of each in the top bar. My *hope* is that people coming here fresh will expect it to offer in-page search, and that it's only those of us who were here for the old way who'll be surprised, once each.
