As already mentioned it is not possible to accept an answer on Codidact, as opposed to what happens on the Stack Exchange network. Having accepted answers (+ pinning them) might lead to some issues and [Stack Overflow is currently spending a lot of time and effort to fix this](https://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/405302/introducing-outdated-answers-project?cb=1).[Letting the OP to mark the question as answered](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/280917) might lead to better results, but if we look from a long term perspective (the question and answers to be useful for future readers) there is really not much value added by marking a particular answer as accepted or marking the question as answered.- I am not sure if it applies to less technical communities, but for me most of the answers I find the best (accurate, up to date) on Stack Exchange are the non-accepted ones.

Having accepted answers (+ pinning them) might lead to having a bad answer marked as accepted and [Stack Overflow is currently spending a lot of time and effort to fix this](https://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/405302/introducing-outdated-answers-project?cb=1) (the effort is actually trying to also tackle the highly voted obsolete answers).
