We don't do a whole lot on the email notifications front, really. The only emails we send automatically from the application are account emails, plus any subscriptions you create. Beyond that, we don't really do emails — both because it takes quite a bit of developer time to set up, which is a precious resource, and because people have Opinions about email: when it's appropriate, when it's spam, what opt-in/opt-out mechanisms there should be... We want to do email right and make sure that folks are only getting emails they _want_, but that also takes time to make sure of.

We do have a number of items on our list in terms of email notifications, including an email digest of your notifications, and improvements to subscriptions. We'll keep this one in mind too.
