## Should regular users know that there are deleted comments? In [this question](https://software.codidact.com/posts/282270) there's one comment thread, and it says that there are 10 comments: ![10 comments](https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/cgSsd4okJFW2zC445HViBDzV) I expanded it, and it says in the bottom: "_Showing 5 of 10 comments_": ![Showing 5 of 10 comments](https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/R29k5chMKBLKVrLSv8o6UUzq) If I click on "_See the whole thread_", though, it shows me that 5 comments were actually deleted: ![Skipping 5 deleted comments](https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/hXDB7dSgtAY6a7c7Gy9c9mRr) I'm not sure how relevant is to regular users, to know that there are deleted comments in a thread. Maybe for moderators this could be useful, but for me, the threads should consider only the non-deleted comments.
