- I'm a mod on the EE site. A user had created the superfluous tags "208VAC" and "230VAC", so I edited the post to delete them. I'm quite sure both tags were gone before I confirmed the edit. When I got back to the post, the 230VAC tag was still there. But, and this is the weird part, when I try to edit the post again, the 230VAC tag doesn't show up. It's like it's deleted for the post editor, but not the post viewer. Unfortunately I can't get rid of the tag because of this.

- <blockquote>I'm not seeing the tag on the post or in the editor. Are you still? If so, do you also see it in a different browser or incognito window? (I'm wondering if something is being too-heavily cached.)</blockquote>
- The post author did an edit of his own, and now the stuck tag is gone too. I don't know whether he explicitly deleted it, or it cleared up on its own due to his edit. The only evidence left is the edit history. Here is what I see when I look at the history of my edit, and the bottom of the post author's edit:

- This shows that I removed the 208VAC tag, although I am quite sure I also removed the 230VAC tag. The 230VAC tag then disappeared with the last edit, which was done by the post author. Perhaps he can tell you whether he did that deliberately or not.

I just ran into something similar. I expect it's the same bug. That's why I'm adding it to this existing question instead of posting a new one. I'm a mod on the EE site.
