While reviewing older bugs we discovered that this problem no longer exists. I'm sorry we didn't catch this at the time; I don't know if someone fixed it but we failed to update here, or if it was fixed as a side-effect of some other change, but I just tested this out in [this suggested edit](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/suggested-edit/955) and it seems to be working now.
