Since this question was asked, the ability to flag individual comments has been implemented, so the workaround mentioned in the other answers is no longer required. It may not be immediately apparent that this is now possible, so here's a quick guide: - At the bottom of the comment thread click the blue link "See the whole thread" - In the new page that opens, each comment has a blue link "flag" at its top right corner, which will allow you to flag that specific comment I've also raised a separate Meta question [Comment flagging is hidden from inexperienced users](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/287638) to assess community support for making this clearer.
