Q&A

Welcome to Codidact Meta!

Codidact Meta is the meta-discussion site for the Codidact community network and the Codidact software. Whether you have bug reports or feature requests, support questions or rule discussions that touch the whole network – this is the site for you.

Clarify "Remember me"

+3
−0

When signing in there is a checkbox labelled "Remember me". There is no supporting information to indicate what this checkbox is for. Without it, a user may not know which of the following it means:

  • "Remember username": Make the browser remember your username for next time you sign in (so you only need to type your password, not your username)
  • "Stay signed in": Make the browser remember that you are signed in so you don't need to sign in again next time you open the browser
  • Something else

Could this be made clearer? Ideally in a way that is equally clear for desktop and mobile users (so not dependent on being able to hover for title text).
