Notification about a thread on a deleted post
What should be the behaviour when a user posts a reply to a comment in a thread on a post, and then deletes the post? For example, the post may be a question which requires editing before it will be ready for answers. Currently, a notification is shown to the user who is being replied to (and presumably also to anyone else following the thread). However, clicking on that notification gives a 404 page, because the post has been deleted. Would it make sense to allow the thread to remain visible to people following it so they can see the reply, while not showing the deleted post (perhaps simply stating "Post deleted" above the thread)?
