I like that idea. I imagine it something like this:

(red) (green)
```
I think the full red and green segments can stay colored no matter where you drag the sliders. It'd be easier to make and about the same intuition level for UX.
But even a little help "(?)" linking to the Scoring help page is good enough for the short term. It sounds like [Monica opened a PR][1] to add some kind of hint.
