Email, possible scam
This morning I got an email from a name I don't recognize, saying "Nice to bump into you on Codidact. If you remember, we shared a math class or two at MIT. Do you attend reunions? Love to catch up with you!"

Did anyone else get one like this? It feels like a scam to me. I don't recognize the name, and "shared a math class or two" is suspiciously vague. No year, no specific course, no reference to housing or student activities. A lurker could have picked up just enough information about me here to make a weak attempt at plausibility.

If you get an email like this, be careful. Such things are often confidence games.
