More inherently built-in chatting?
It could be cool to have more accessible chatting for all posts. What if there were a sidebar on every post where there was always a live chat? Unlike SE, you never need to specifically create and open a chat room. Every post has a side chat bar.

This could give people more communication options. It could be a filtration mechanism: comments help in improving the post, yet chat can even help improve quality of comments. This is for transient back and forth, so it pulls low quality content out of the comments, into the side chat. Furthermore, there are already tons of social and conversational comments on Stack Exchange, so it’s almost as if there’s a natural desire there to be fulfilled.
