  • "mention-box" turns red after editing comment although a reload fixes this.
  • Why do user mentions incorrectly change color after editing comments?
  • So the other day I commented on a thread, mentioning another user:
  • <br><br>
  • All the details of all the screenshots in this post have been replaced with dummy text to simplify/generalize the question.
  • <br><br>
  • ![Screenshot](https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/k21iwils9gzlhfw437xe6llcoybe)
  • <br><br>
  • As you can see, everything works as expected. The "mention-name-box" is blue too.
  • But then I edited my comment to add something.
  • <br><br>
  • ![Screenshot](https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/zponzu7qx60l52e8ohuy9rg0rx6u)
  • <br><br>
  • As you can see, the "mention-name-box" incorrectly turned **red**.
  • Hovering on it shows:
  • <br><br>
  • ![Screenshot](https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/d04b0kb8goa4kben8nqk2n16nn7i)
  • <br><br>
  • But "Another user" has clearly participated in the thread.
  • A reload **fixes** this, but I guess it would be better if the user didn't have to manually reload a page to make the "mention-name-box" update.

"mention-box" turns red after editing comment although a reload fixes this.
So the other day I commented on a thread, mentioning another user:
<br><br>
All the details of all the screenshots in this post have been replaced with dummy text to simplify/generalize the question.
<br><br>
![Screenshot](https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/k21iwils9gzlhfw437xe6llcoybe)
<br><br>
As you can see, everything works as expected. The "mention-name-box" is blue too.

But then I edited my comment to add something.

<br><br>
As you can see by the pointed arrow, the "mention-name-box" incorrectly turned **red**.

Hovering on it shows:

But "Another user" has clearly participated in the thread.

A reload **fixes** this, but I guess it would be better if the user didn't have to manually reload a page to make the "mention-name-box" update.
