Missing comment notifications: is @-tagging buggy?

With respect to the comment thread https://math.codidact.com/comments/thread/9445 I make the following observations:

  1. I received notifications for the first three comments.
  2. I do not believe that I have unsubscribed from notifications on that thread.
  3. It has an "Unfollow" link at the top, which implies that I am following it.
  4. I have not received notifications for the comments which I made (which is good) or for the comments where user xamidi @-tagged me (which is not good). I only became aware of those comments because I'm a mod on the site and occasionally check the "Recent comments" mod tool.

Have the notifications stopped working in general somewhere between the 13th and the 16th of June, or is there a bug in the @-tagging?
