Speeding up entry of 2FA codes with a numeric input field

+2
−0

On a touchscreen device with an on-screen keyboard (such as a phone or tablet), the input field for a 2FA code brings up a keyboard of letters, requiring switching to numbers[1] before typing in the 6 digit code:

If the input field was specifically a numeric input field then a numeric keyboard would be brought up instead, making it quicker and easier to enter the 6 digit code:

  1. Alternatively numbers can be typed by long pressing letters on the top row, but for typing 6 consecutive digits this is slower than switching to the numeric keyboard. ↩︎
