Window width Copy Link box

The "Copy Link" button below a post usually opens a panel that is narrower than the post, but now it is the width of the window. Since it does not start at the very left of the window, this means it extends off the right hand side of the page, introducing a horizontal scroll bar for the page:

Copy Link box spreading right past the right hand panels

In addition to looking awkward, this means the copy buttons are off screen and cannot be clicked without first scrolling the whole page sideways.

I used this functionality earlier today and it worked fine, so this appears to be new, perhaps introduced with the recent update.

Workarounds

Until this is fixed, it is still possible to copy links in one of two ways:

  • Scroll to the right until the copy buttons become visible (on mobile this is a very small sideways swipe because the screen is narrow, but on desktop this is a significantly longer scroll that first requires finding the scrollbar unless you have a touchpad or a mouse with sideways scroll).
  • Manually select the text you want in the very wide text box and copy using ctrl+C or right click > Copy. You can triple click to quickly select the entire text, or click once and then press ctrl-A.
