Where should a question about USB-C PD extension safety be posted?
The context is that: 1. I want to ask a question about whether devices exposing female Universal Serial Bus connectors (especially those that are Type-C, with Power Delivery support) are specification-compliant if they forward data from another. Evidently, most hubs appear to be, but I have recently become quite confident that most extenders (excepting Framework's 1:1 pinout) and converters are not, so want some clarity on some specifics of this. 1. I am not an electrical engineer — a mere computer technician — but am aware that the safety of these devices is significantly more the purview of an electrical engineer than the standard hardware engineer. Therefore, whether to ask at [`electrical.codidact.com`](https://electrical.codidact.com/) or [`powerusers.codidact.com`](https://powerusers.codidact.com/) isn't evident
