Q&A

Welcome to Codidact Meta!

Codidact Meta is the "town hall" (meta-discussion site) for the Codidact community network and the Codidact software. Whether you have bug reports or feature requests, support questions or rule discussions that touch the whole network – this is the site for you.

Where does one ask legal questions?

Where would one ask a question about law, of a type that does not relate to any of the communities listed at codidact.com? [1]

Context

An example is what law.stackexchange.com/q/114531 describes:

My name is: [2]

1st (Fore) 2nd (Middle) 3rd (Sur)
Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell

If I am asked to enter my name, and am solely allowed to enter the first and last names (as accounts.google.com requires), should I enter "Roke Julian Lockhart" as my first name?

There is no site for this at Codidact currently. There was a proposal for a Law site in our old, retired proposals system, but for some reason it wasn't successful.

With the current system, anyone can write down a new site proposal at https://proposals.codidact.com and once such a proposal is in place, it is fine to ask questions that would belong to said proposed site under the "Incubator Q&A" category. If there is enough activity there, the site may eventually get launched as a stand-alone community.
