Persistent Hot Posts state

The Hot Posts box in the right hand panel (or near the bottom of the page on mobile or narrow windows) is collapsible, using the chevron arrow at its top right. However, if I collapse it and then view another page, it is expanded again.
Would you find it useful to have the state of the Hot Posts box persist between pages, so that it will stay either collapsed or expanded as you navigate from page to page?
