Suggested edit hidden from mods and admins for deleted posts

+3
−0

If a suggested edit is made on a question that has been deleted, the suggested edit is created successfully but does not show in the suggested edits list, even to users with the Curate ability (who can see the deleted question) or to moderators or admins.

The suggested edit does show up in the notifications of the question author.

Should the suggested edit also be visible to curators, moderators, and/or admins?

Yes, the suggested edit should be visible to curators, moderators, and admins, even for deleted questions. This transparency allows them to review and assess the edit for quality and relevance. It also ensures that the moderation process remains consistent, even when dealing with deleted content. Making suggested edits visible to these users enhances the overall management and quality control of the platform.

This reads like AI-generated babble. But OK, I'll bite (and to see how your AI responds). What exactly do you think the point is of "review and assess the edit for quality" when the post has been deleted and the edit will therefore never be made?
