post history

This post had been edited by @Lundin. But, there's no visible changes in that post. I don't know what Lundin did to that post. I think Lundin had proposed changes but, author/moderator declined (That may not be the reason I think). So, is it a bug?

We have had some bugs in edit history. Fixes for these bugs apply to future edits, but we don't have a good way to update events that predated the bug fixes.

That edit was six months ago and I know we've fixed history bugs since then. If you see a new edit that doesn't show history correctly please let us know. Unfortunately, you'll see some broken history in old edits. Sorry about that!

If you see a new edit that doesn't show history correctly please let us know. No I haven't seen. Unfortunately, you'll see some broken history in old edits. Thanks for the information :)

I remember this edit, it was me removing myself from the list of users who declared interest in the site proposal. Alexei had listed my name and I removed it, that was the only edit I did. It was not a tag edit. This post was an answer btw so it doesn't even have tags.

@Lundin thanks for the information, and for pointing out that this case couldn't possibly have been a tag edit. We've had (and fixed) other history bugs, so while I don't know why this one doesn't show, I think we'll still need to wait to see if it happens again. Debugging single occurrences, especially older ones where the code has since changed, is really hard.

I have seen similar bug like this(not completely). I am adding information here instead of creating question (I really don't like that, I will do if needed). Look at the picture, a user had did something to that post but, when I check history there's nothing. Even, I got a notification . When I click on the

notification it just redirect me to that question(nothing else).

@Istiak‭ on that question, somebody posted and then deleted an answer, and that's the activity that showed as a modification on the question list. We need to distinguish among modifications; if we said "edited" or "answered" or "closed" or "answer deleted" then you'd know what the change was even if you can't see deleted posts. It's on our to-do list.
