On Stack Exchange, downvoting a question or answer —2 your reputation. What about here?

It's -2 for others, but only -1 for you. (3 comments)

No.

You only lose reputation points (-2) when someone downvote your answer or question but downvoting someone else's question or answer doesn't cost you reputation points.

Isn't that configurable? (2 comments)
Isn't that configurable?

I thought this was configurable. Is it? BTW, here it says that "Reputation earned for upvotes and downvotes" is configurable, but IMO this sentence is not clear regarding this specific case (losing rep for downvoting answers). I'd appreciate if someone can confirm this

Monica Cellio‭ wrote about 3 years ago

Sorry for the ambiguity. What's configurable is the rep change for the recipient of the vote. The voter's reputation doesn't change and we don't have a way to configure that.
