The ability to cancel my own suggested edit

If I suggest an edit to a post and then change my mind, there is no way for me to retract my suggestion. The top of the post I suggested an edit on says:

Your suggested edit on this post is pending review.

It would be useful if this message also included the option of cancelling the edit. This would allow the user who suggested the edit to remove it from the Suggested Edits list and reduce the workload of the reviewers.

A way to do this might be to add a link to the pending edit suggestion (so you can see the diff), and if it's your edit the "approve" and "reject" buttons are replaced with "cancel". (I don't know if best practice is to also have an "ok" or "done" button so you can go back to where you were without using the browser back button.)

The pending edit suggestion page already has a "Return to post" button at the top right so that's probably sufficient. Just adding a "cancel" button for your own edit sounds like a full solution.
