User id shows instead of user name in comment thread title

+3
−0

When a user is mentioned in a comment thread using @, internally the user is referred to by their user id number. The comment is displayed using their user name, but the user id behind the scenes means that if they change their user name, the name shown in the comment stays up to date.

This works well in the comment itself, but currently it is not handled when the title of the comment thread is the default (the first few words of the comment). In this case the comment shows the user name, but the title shows the user id number:

Title of a comment thread showing a user number, followed by the comment showing the user name

Yep, that's a bit annoying. Thanks for noticing that. Just yesterday I was going to write a "bug report" about it, but I was carried away IRL and forgot to do it.

You're welcome. There will be plenty more bugs to raise over time... Thanks for the edit - I noticed the image looked like the end of the post, but it didn't occur to me that a quote block could fix it. Looks better now.
