With abilities here, where did my Software Development question (posted Saturday 13:58 UTC) go?

I recently posted a question on Software Development, How can I write an egrep (grep -E) regexp that matches lines containing two stanzas in arbitrary order? (Internet Archive copy). (Addendum: it's now back, under a different post ID.)

It seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth -- or at least, from Codidact. When I try to access it by URL now, I get a "Not Found" error, and when I look at the list of questions in my profile, it's not there either.

Did something go wrong with the log restoration that was supposed to handle the participation between when the backup was taken and the live database was updated/replaced? Or is this an artefact of a lack of an ability on my part? (The question did receive one unexplained downvote after it was posted, but that's it as far as I know.) I noticed that on the Abilities announcement post, some comments were temporarily gone and now seem to be back. Do I just need to wait something out, and if so, can you give anything like even an approximate ETA?

(On a somewhat unrelated note, the abilities system notwithstanding, I do like the new profile page design. I think it looks much more professional than the old one.)

The question should be back now, but unfortunately under a different link/ID. luap42 😷‭ 4 months ago

@luap42 Under a new ID is good enough for me, thanks for getting my question back. :-) Canina‭ 4 months ago

Some posts and other updates seem to have gotten overlooked during the update - specifically, the ones created after the process was started and before it ended. Since the update was running for... a while, it's going to take a bit to get to all the outliers (I think. I'm not part of the technical team, I have no idea what I'm talking about).

Currently waiting on the technical team to have a chance to look at the situation and get around to fixing it.

Basically - sit tight, we're working on it and will hopefully get to it soon!
