  • This looks similar to my previous bug report ["Body is too short" error when posting middle-click-pasted answer with no changes](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/283075), and I wouldn't be surprised if the fix is the same.
  • When on the thread page for a comment thread (that is, `/comments/thread/###`), there is the possibility to reply to the thread in question by typing a message and clicking "Add reply". Fine so far.
  • However, if you simply paste into the text box, neither the character count nor the enabled-state of the "Add reply" button updates. Both *do* update when you do something further in the text box, however.

The same seems to be the case if you use the browser's right-click menu or similar functionality to delete what you have typed. Both *do* update when you do something further in the input field, however.
