Q&A

Welcome to Codidact Meta!

Codidact Meta is the meta-discussion site for the Codidact community network and the Codidact software. Whether you have bug reports or feature requests, support questions or rule discussions that touch the whole network – this is the site for you.

Automatically added redundant markdown when editing

+5
−0

After making an edit that only adds tags, some redundant markdown is added to the beginning of the body of the post. This does not show up in the rendered post but it gives an inaccurate edit history.

For an example, see the edit history of another Meta question.

Edit history showing tags are added but also raw markdown

Recently I have noticed this string of 4 characters added to various different posts by myself and others, and it now seems the editing of tags only may not be related. For example, see the final 4 characters of a recent edit that did not involve tags.
