I agree that's pretty unclear in threads that are longer than fit in the view.  Thanks for raising this.

I don't know what's possible with the current design framework (I'm not very good at front-end frameworks), but if it's possible, what about adjusting the spacing to make the "binding" more clear?  For example, this:

Would having less whitespace between the name and the comment than there is between the end of the comment and the next name be clear enough?
