New answers are not being reported as new activity or bumping posts

It appears that new answers are no longer being reported as new activity on the question list and bumping questions. Here's an annotated screenshot:

https://meta.codidact.com/posts/280005 shows the last activity as by luap42, but Mithical has a newer answer. https://meta.codidact.com/posts/279985 shows the last activity as by Moshi, but I have a newer answer.

Not the same. The root cause of that one appears to be a problem with how suggested edits are reported (or not, as it turns out, confusing the tracking). The present bug, which has now been fixed, was about new answers, specifically.

The bug has been fixed and new answers show up as new activity and bump posts again. Posts that got new answers during the bug's lifetime (a couple days I think) haven't been updated/bumped. In other words, it shouldn't happen again but there are residual mismatches. For example, the Code Golf Challenges category shows no new activity for several days, but it's not true; there've been new answers in that timeframe.
