Transferring my questions and answers from StackOverflow and other SE sites

Is it acceptable if I "transfer" my questions and answers from StackOverflow and other SE sites to their respective sites on Codidact?

I do not want to go back to SE sites, never more in my life, but I also would not like to lose all the knowledge that I registered there, and that I understand is a knowledge that also belongs to me and that can belong as well to the new Codidact community.

As this answer says, yes, absolutely -- it's your work and you're free to post it here.

While you're doing so, please see if you can improve it too. Instead of just copying stuff, let's make it better on Codidact. And if you want to import answers, the best approach is to re-ask the question in your own words and then answer it. (Self-answers are fine.) The new framing of the question should attract other answers too.

English isn't my primary language, so I will try to express myself in the most respectful way possible: It's an honor to be part of Codidact and bring my content here, even more because you are also participating, Monica. Thank you very much!

I've done a self answer before here (On photography). I remember one answer I have on SE. Would it be fine if I copied the question as well?

@paulocoghi‭ thank you and welcome to Codidact! I am very happy that we have people who want to come here and work together to build excellent communities.

@10Rep yes, if you have content on SE that fits a community here (like Photography), please feel free to bring it over. If you can make it better (update for anything else you've learned since then, etc), that's even better.

@10Rep‭ "Would it be fine if I copied the question as well?" No, not if you mean simply copying and pasting it. There is more to it than that. If you did that on EE, for example, I'd delete the whole thing as soon as I saw it. Other sites may have different policies. Overall it's not quite as simple as the first two answers here lead you to believe.

@OlinLathrop The question you quote in your comment wasn't asked by paulocoghi, but by @10Rep.
