A letter didn't bold in suggested edit page

Okay, you're probably confused. Let me explain. I use the web browser Chrome to use Codidact and would find something off about the letter "M" in the formatting box. In other words, it looks like it got bolded for some odd reason.

Here's more proof why it's likely. If you go to certain places where the text of the formatting sandbox is bolded, like suggested edits, "M" itself isn't bolded.

Here's one with both types of "M"s:
M M

There's also more broken bolding of characters, but "M" is the most irritating to look at for me, so I'll leave the explanation there. Can this please be fixed?

How it renders for me in Firefox matches deleted user's screenshot very closely. Judging by the screenshot, your browser is rendering the text using a very different font than for either of us. General Sebast1an‭, can you please try this with a brand new browser profile (or whatever functionality Chrome has that matches Firefox's distinct profiles) to see if a "stock" browser renders it similarly for you?

If the issue persists also with a clean new browser profile, try changing the fixed-width font Chrome uses for mono-spaced text and see whether this will fix the issue. You can do so in the chrome://settings/fonts page in Chrome.

Canina‭ It's probably Helvetica because it's the font that showed up in MS Word.

deleted user I guess I'm the only one with the problem then.

General Sebast1an‭ Whatever font that is in your screenshot, it's almost certainly not actually Helvetica because Helvetica is a proportional font, while your screenshot clearly shows monospaced text.

It's not almost certainly not Helvetica, it definitely is not Helvetica. Just look at the lowercase g and compare it with Helvetica's lowercase g. Also, i didn't know that MS Word now dictates what font Chrome uses for rendering mono-spaced text. What's coming next? MS Word dictating Chrome whether to render websites in bright or dark mode? With Windows 1 ̶0̶ 1, everything is possible... ;-)

elgonzo‭ I'm an idiot. XD

Tangential side note: Hehe, i just noticed i unintentionally did something funny in my last comment. I placed the lowercase g in the Helvetica link in my comment in code markup, which (at least for me with my standard browser settings) renders it as a looptailed lowercase g, which is in contrast to Helvetica using an opentailed lowercase g, lol...
