Missing "Participate" ability on one community

My Outdoors profile is bugged. I don't have any Abilities awarded—not even Participate—although I have been able to make posts and suggest edits.

I finally decided it was actually bugged when I tried to click the link on

❌ You have not yet earned this ability. (more)

to see what I was missing. I got a fun 500 error, ID 86786cd4-bcd6-4155-a8f9-d33dcc0740c5.

Presumably, people never visit the thresholds page for Participate because they have the ability and don't see the link for "more."

That is...bizarre. I've manually granted Participate and Participate Everywhere to you, and also to Karl Knechtel who reported the same problem in a comment. I have no idea how that happened and will raise it with people who have database access to see if we can figure it out and if anyone else was affected.

Meanwhile, if anyone else is seeing this problem, please leave a comment here so we can investigate. I randomly checked some other newer accounts there, looking for a pattern, but didn't come across any others. It was hardly an exhaustive search, though.

I also checked the settings for Outdoors (new-site mode, rate limits, etc), and didn't find anything unusual there.
