Welcome to Codidact Meta!

Codidact Meta is the meta-discussion site for the Codidact community network and the Codidact software. Whether you have bug reports or feature requests, support questions or rule discussions that touch the whole network – this is the site for you.

Search

Advanced Search Options

To further refine your search, you can use additional qualifiers such as score:>0.5. For example, the search score:>=0.5 created:<1y grammar would return only posts mentioning "grammar" that have a score >= 0.5 and were created less than a year ago. Use category:<ID> to restrict your search to one category (the ID is what's shown after /categories/ in the URL).

Further help with searching is available in the help center.

Quick hints: tag:tagname, user:xxx, "exact phrase", post_type:xxx, created:<N{d,w,mo,y}, score:>=0.5

Before starting the concern, I want to appreciate and acknowledge the community team for their volunteer efforts to run Codidact and handle its issues as far as they can. When I sometimes talk to s...

Q&A Voluntariness vs. Responsibility, which of them should be considered as a priority for the community team?

The Codidact community team have accepted to be the staff and run the community. So, in my opinion, if Codidact is an aspiring platform, one may expect that they work as paid staff do. Am I right?...

Q&A Voluntariness vs. Responsibility, which of them should be considered as a priority for the community team?

If you wish the staff to start acting like paid employees, maybe you should discuss how you can pay them. Maybe set up some kind of foundation that funds Codidact servers and pays the wages of a st...

Q&A How should staff deal with posts critical of themselves that they want deleted?

Follow normal procedures. If there's a post attacking a particular user or group of users, the appropriate thing to do is to flag and let one of the mods/staff deal with it. If someone disagrees w...

Q&A Do we have/should we have community wikis?

I have no real objection if others want a community wiki (or whatever it should be called) post type, but want to point out that these never really worked right on SE. I'm very unlikely to make of...

Q&A Proposal: tool for user-requested import of a single question and its answers from SE

If you create such a feature, at least make it optional per site with the default off. I would be strongly opposed to any direct import from anywhere else to the Electrical Engineering site, for e...

Q&A Allow licence change when there's only one contributor

It should be possible for you to fix your mistake by, if nothing else, deleting the post and re-posting it with the correct license. Doing so would effectively dual-license it, under CC-BY-SA and C...

Q&A How does voting on site proposals work?

I've seen a pattern of certain users downvoting on site proposals, not because they are against the proposal itself but rather against the concept of launching a new community. Without calling out ...

Q&A Move posts between different categories through edits?

That should already be possible for every user with the Curate ability. There's a little "Tools" link below the post, which can be clicked and where "Change category" should be an option.

A "minor" toggle on edits makes sense even if there's no mechanism to hide minor edits from the history, if people can filter them out visually. I think this can serve some use; I've sometimes used...
