Thanks, for your answer. I think that in the mean time the bug got fixed. The screenshots above showcase the bug but I just tried to edit my post today and the bug is no longer present. I guess the bug got fixed and nobody just took time to post answer to this question. (more) |

@OlinLathrop I am not sure, I think it is a bug, I tried various several ways of trying to format it but I never got the desired result, in addition the previous while editing shows correct text only once everything is saved the displayed text is 'messed'. (more) |

@OlinLathrop no this is a single list, if it would be 2 separate lists I would not report it as an issue (more) |

But de facto 2 sites - most things having separate tags accounting people not interacting much with economists and vice versa, and at worst it will lead to problems when economists will try to answer questions from pure economics perspective and accountants form accounting perspective leading to fac... So having same site for accounting and economics would lead to situation where almost every concept would have to have multiple tags instead of profit we would have to have tag for accounting profit/economic profit. Instead of cost, expenditure, investment etc we would have to have accounting cost an... (more) |

@MonicaCellio no accounting and economics do not mix well together (this is common misconception of non-economists - they are related only very loosely). That is why I also in my answer to the econ site proposal argued accounting should have separate site (probably I should stressed it more there). ... (more) |

@MonicaCellio no it did not - I just tried it right now once more for good measure. Also an issue is that I don't anymore know how to edit to fix it. In an editing window everything looks fine only when changes are saved the output does not render as it should. Since in editing mode everything looks ... (more) |

@Sigma yes I think it should be in scope since econometrics is by definition: Econometrics is a rapidly developing branch of economics which, broadly speaking, aims to give empirical content to economic relations - [Pesaran (2016)](https://link.springer.com/referenceworkentry/10.1057/978-1-349-95121-... However, if we start off with a good expert base this would be pointed out to the Q asker in comments and cleared out and then either question could be relegated to philosophy/ethics forum or if it’s normative in a way that would fit within the scope mentioned in my proposition it would be allowed to... In the case of the latter it could be within the scope as well, since I am not against normative questions. But when it comes to normative questions we should be extra careful and make sure they don’t devolve into moralizing. But in that case ‘Keynesian perspective’ would not even be appropriate labe... @Aidan yes asking what is Keynesian perspective of National debt would be actually a positive question regardless of whether the theory is correct or not, theory is a set of positive statements. As such it would be totally within the scope.
However, I am not sure if we completely understand eac... (more) |

Question | — |
Numbering Display Bug I think there is a bug with a final text numbering not matching the numbering in the preview. I recently posted this answeron meta. When I edit the question the preview of the text displays correct numbering but once the edit is saved the numbering is displayed incorrectly (possibly connected to ... (more) |

@MonicaCellio glad to hear that. I will try to encourage others to participate here as well if Economics site will be established. Also does codidact have any plans for allowing people to transfer reputation between sites? Such option would probably encourage high-rep users to be active on both netwo... (more) |

...why I could not be actively engaged in both communities. As an economist I think competition is very important as monopolies lead to inefficiencies and give people power to make arbitrary decisions. I think I will have enough time to contribute to both communities and perhaps even help build bridg... (more) |

I would be willing to help build this community. I think it is fair to say I am expert in economics. I have Msc. in Public Economics and second Msc. in International Economics. I am also graduate student of economics and have 5y+ experience as research assistant at institutions that include among oth... (more) |

Answer | — |
A: Site for Economics It would be nice to have site for economics. However, I think that the scope of the site should be better defined. As currently written the scope reads quite broadly. If the sites rules will be that anything goes I think it will creates an atmosphere that will not encourage experts using the site... (more) |
