Comment Post #289013 I'm not experienced with the website magic (apart from HTML and CSS), but I think it may be simple at first sight only, as there will be the question of positioning, prominence and highlighting (as in the screenshot) etc. which I guess different users will have different opinions about. In that ca...

Comment Post #283229 The helped D says "thanks" to the helper R because D wants to demonstrate his acknowledgement, appreciation and thankfulness for R's help and time. Voting is anonymous, so it fails to demonstrate that. Reactions, as implemented by Codidact, are a much better solution to that as they are not ano...

Comment Post #287458 Now it renders incorrectly here too.

Comment Post #287460 I agree with your suggestion; Assuming all else fixed, this is how it would look like (changed `justify-content` to `top`): https://meta.codidact.com/uploads/qg9vjpo9oh9x5iffu8ov9vj8e1tm

Comment Post #287461 "...and in the meantime we could do this." Sorry, what does "this" refer to here? And thanks for pointing out that previews were added, I didn't realize that was the case (I thought padding was added).

Comment Post #285132 Keelan, in the last paragraph I was comparing Codidact to Stack Exchange (here some like to codename it to Somewhere Else).

Comment Post #285132 Well, Keelan, this is mostly personal, but -12/+12 question looks much more interesting than a -0/+0 question to me.

Comment Post #287155 I'm interested, but do share Canina's concerns. I think it would be better if Tabletop RPGs were converted to Tabletop Games, and then Chess to a category of it. Such should be possible; it's just a matter of the existing community being fine with it.

Comment Post #285132 > one can see the up/down votes by clicking on the score to expand. Only if you actually open the question, not in the question list itself, correct? > I'm not sure what's required to fill the meter all the way either, some epic score like +100 it seems. I think it's asymptotic. It kinda mak...

Comment Post #285132 I'll disagree with this one. I like the big fonts: easy to read at a glance, and the space is well occupied. I really like Codidact's question list style by the way. Very uniform space distribution, comfortable to parse, 6 questions per screen height, while Somewhere Else I get only 4. Cheers to t...

Comment Post #286669 Could the initial focus go to the text field so that it doesn't require an extra click to start typing the search term?

Comment Post #286192 I agree with the request, but the title made me think of indentation, syntax highlighting etc. rather than the actual code viewport.

Comment Post #285302 @#36363 I looked that one up and found that indeed it could be used pejoratively: [1](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foobar#History_and_etymology), [2](https://www.thefreedictionary.com/Foobar). However, another, and perhaps the main, usage nowadays is simply as a placeholder. You will encounter it...

Comment Post #285264 Indeed, though I don't believe someone would be put off by the name. By the way, even the current name — Linux Systems — is inaccurate, since other Unix-like systems are in scope. The objection of r~~ is exactly the kind of helpful opinion I was talking about in my previous comment. It allowed Mon...

Comment Post #285264 Actually, 2 against 4 (we give each a +1 corresponding to the person who wrote the post) — yes, of course still quite low. A detailed merge proposal would take more effort and joint effort. Heading to that before agreement with the main idea of merging looks like putting the cart before the horse. A...

Comment Post #285264 Although the Power Users community have (up to know) unanimously agreed with the idea, [a Linux Systems user has voted against it and explained why](https://linux.codidact.com/posts/285144/285187#answer-285187). There are few votes on the matter yet, but since they amount roughly to a 2/3 for a merg...

Comment Post #282185 @Moshi Hmm I'm counting the 3 headers. On current layout: (1) Codidact logo, (2) Q&A Site Proposals Blog, (3) Q&A Posts etc. On mockup: (1) Blue header, (2) orange header, (3) Q&A Site Proposals Blog.
