Comment Post #295069 @#53890 it looks like it needs some time for discussion to figure out what should happen.

Comment Post #295069 @#53890 so there is a flaw in the design: "Ask new question" and "Edit/resume last question" (posted or not) are different things but on the same button. I see the work is not as easy as I hoped for.

Comment Post #295069 The main irritating thing is that the zombie draft turns up after "Ask new question", so I ended up posting a copy of an already existing question (if in doubt, losing the active question is worse than having a copy). It should be easy to cancel the effect by clearing the input array after the...

Question Draft loaded. You had edited this before but haven't saved it. We loaded the edits for you.
I get "Draft loaded. You had edited this before but haven't saved it. We loaded the edits for you. " when I ask a new question. First thought was I hadn't pressed the "Save Post" button, but then I did, started again, and the warning, together with the draft, was back again when I would as...

Comment Post #295031 Oh, could the separated hosting give a hint on why `ping` works fine while the browser does not receive a complete page to show and keeps on "spinning"?

Comment Post #295031 The suggestion was about the "ease of use", but if the entry page is separated for technical reasons, then the one additional click is not worth mentioning. Thanks for clarification.

Comment Post #295027 ... *loads "spin" forever* is exactly what I encountered. Before that, stopping the browser and reloading after waiting a bit worked, but not this time. I could see some pages halfway loaded, some of them displaying "Verify that you are a human" but not to the point I could actually click the box...

Question difficulties reaching this site
I just now experienced difficulties reaching this site. The browser did not finish getting reply. As usual, I had opened "Dashboard" and clicked on the communities that are interesting to me (nearly all) in rapid succession. My box was online, able to reach example sites like Wikipedia w...

Question Sign in on first go
When I go to "codidact.com" there is no "Sign In" field, I have to choose some community to sign in, to all the communities. I guess this is just a neglected feature not implemented yet.

Comment Post #294982 Not restricted to a guide, but, yes, this would be one major aspect to start with.

Comment Post #294982 My intend was mainly "ask for tutorial recommendations", but the other aspects would be great, too, if it could be handled. Each of the aspects would need not only implementation but also continuous care.

Comment Post #294982 Well, when I say "readings" I think of more constructive and more specific ways than just "have you looked at Wikipedia?" or even "RTFM".

Comment Post #294986 In the back of my mind, I was thinking of both, where listing +categorizing is less costly than hosting, but hosting would be better.

Question Tutorials and readings
Sometimes I'm looking for tutorials or readings. There are a lot of tutorials and readings on the net, and that is part of the problem, as most don't match what I was looking for. On "Some other sitE" that type of questions would be close because they are inherently opinion based. For ex...

Comment Post #294872 Now "It works for me", switching to "History" (as expected) then "Copy link" (showing options "raw" and "markdown"), choosing "markdown" and then, in my browser, going to that link shows me exactly what I wanted to see. Well, having another try on https://math.codidact.com/posts/294748/history...

Comment Post #294872 Would be fine, if I knew how to get there. I cannot see anything labeled "tools", neither here nor when going to "History" first. Maybe it's because of my notorious banner-blindness, or because I'm missing some privileges.

Comment Post #294866 Yes and no. The browser shows me *all the source* for *all the page*. Very difficult to filter out the specific part I want to see. And more, what HTML is shown will probably be different from what has been typed into the question or comment, regarding some processing between the two. Fo...

Question "Show source" feature would make sense to me
I dimly remember that once, on Wikipedia, there was a button "Show source". Would be nice to have that here, to learn about what is possible from examples, without opening things for edit and then accidentally modify it. Would be of special interest for comments, looks like they don't have ...

Comment Post #294829 I see the problems. Having two separate questions would result i an unhealthy amount of cross-linking, and having the *identical* question accessible from multiple communities has problems of its own, like where to account up- and down-votes. What about choosing a *main* community and *mirror*...

Question Any way to see the number of views?
Is there any way to see the number of views? It is not only about vanity, but also would give a kind of feedback on the question. As an example, there is a question on math asking if a special thing has a name. If it has, there would be an answer. If it doesn't, no one out there could be su...

Comment Post #294718 Thinking twice, "Works for me" has different semantic to "accept", "Works for me" sounds more like "I have tried and it works", appropriate for software development, electrical engineering etc., but not so much for Judaism or Christianity or other abstract topics. So, just upvote?

Question How to accept an answer?
Short question: how to accept an answer? There is no "Accept" button, so I have chosen "Works for me". Is this the intended way? (And it looks like I accidentally edited my previous question, hopefully it stays unchanged.)

Comment Post #294700 I have followed the link and can see "boxes" for the communities. I cannot see *activities*. Is it because of my notorious *banner blindness* or am I too low in reputation to have access to that feature?

Question Showing all new activities across all communities?
This site has low activity. As long as this continues, it would be helpful to have a feature showing all new activities across all communities, so the participants could react more quickly to questions, without having to check every single community by hand.
