@pnuts Fair point about the homework questions, and I completely agree with your definition of "maths" — just wanted to throw it out there for the community to vote on. (more) |

A quick search for the names of the equations I mentioned _should_ get you the relevant Wiki pages. It's just too annoying to work with them without MathJax. Please make sure to include that when the site is launched. (more) |

Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, you can make collapsable sections? Tell me that if posts support any form of HTML coding, that at least CSS and JS are screened so that users can't just arbitrarily execute code on the browser page. (more) |

@luap I've been able to make it work for questions, but I can't figure out the syntax for answers, where the answer itself is already an anchor. No matter how I phrase it, I keep getting the redirect to `/q/123#answer-124`. (more) |

Question | — |
Request: Headings and footnotes act as link anchors Inspired by the change log but certainly not limited to that one post. Many times I find myself writing an answer which goes on for quite a bit, and I find it natural to break it up with `# Headers`. Sometimes I find that what I wrote on question A contains material which is helpful for question B... (more) |

A: Drafting the Codidact Arbitration & Review Panel Article 1 discusses each appointee's vote scores. When trust levels are rolled out, will this clause be affected as well to instead reference the appointees with the lowest trust levels? Additionally, until TLs are rolled out, what happens in the case of a tie? What about if appointees differ by only... (more) |

I think a reasonable benchmark would be not just “is it reasonable to expect that someone who knows about music would be qualified to answer the question,” but also “is it reasonable to expect that _specifically_ someone who knows about music would be qualified to answer.” There’s no reason I would t... A: Factual History Site Scope question: Asking "what if X happened" would be considered too general; would asking "if X happened, is it plausible that Y would be its outcome" be in-scope? (Not sure whether a subject being on-topic on spec sci should influence any scope decisions here.) (more) |

@Olin How is your proposal any different from the current voting system in place? Voting on Meta is an expression of "I agree/disagree" as it is. To the contrary, I think leaving site proposals as a q/a format is better, since it encourages expression of ideas on the proposal. There's a lot more to t... (more) |

Question | — |
Allow moderators to pin posts to that site's sidebar, individually or by seasonal event Featured Posts One neat feature on SE was that mods could mark posts as [featured], and any such-tagged post would appear in a special sidebar widget. That way meta posts which the per-site mods felt deserved individual attention could be pinned for people to see (often community events and site p... (more) |

Or maybe just a color coding: red for 0-20%, orange for 20-40%, grey for 40-60%, blue for 60-80%, and green for 80-100%. You got a chuckle for the Wi-Fi symbol, but I think that'd be more confusing than anything. I give you a two-headed grey arrow for your other suggestion. (more) |

Wilson Score isn't *that* complicated. If you enjoy math and statistics you might have some fun with figuring out how the score is calculated, but I think just telling people that 50% is neutral, higher is good, lower is bad is enough if it needs to be employed at all. (FWIW I used to use [this users... (more) |
