A: Languages 'supersite' How Broad Is Your Scope? Broad categorization of the types of questions one might expect on a languages+linguistics site, from someone who knows very little about linguistics except what he's been able to gather from skimming the tags on the Linguistics and some Language SEs. These are present... (more) |

Notification system improvements Issue: Consider the scenario where you post a new question, and five people all write comments or answers on it. Your inbox will then have five notifications in it, one for each new response. You click on one of them at random, and you read that comment. You scroll down and read the other four respon... A: Community Ad Templates now available [status-completed] - This has been completed. Exclusion of some categories (ex. Meta) and requiring a minimum score is now possible. Regarding the third ad template, the one which takes a random unanswered question – Is there a way to ensure it only picks up questions from the Q&A category, an... (more) |

A: Drafting the Codidact Arbitration & Review Panel Article 27 requires members to explicitly recuse themselves if they feel they can't be impartial. I suggest explicitly adding a point here that if a member of the panel is the one raising the charge against the moderator in question that said member is automatically recused without having to go throu... A: Drafting the Codidact Arbitration & Review Panel Article 30 discusses that substitutes are sworn in if and only if at least 1/3 of the panel is recused. What happens when exactly two members of the panel are absent? 1/3 of 7 is 2 and change, so if exactly two members are missing, that's less than 1/3. Articles 16 and 17 discuss scenarios req... Question | — |
Can auto-saving be individually disabled? It's probably just my Internet connection, but I often find when I'm composing a post that my window freezes for a few moments so that my post can autosave. Sometimes it happens often enough to be a bit annoying, but I'm fairly confident that's a client-side issue, not server-side. How is the auto... (more) |

As a temporary solution, at least on iPhone this issue is _only_ in portrait mode, not landscape, so maybe rotating the screen helps on Android also. (more) |

Apple [claims](https://www.apple.com/il/iphone-8/specs/) that my phone has dimensions of 1334x750 pixels. This issue happens for me on my iOS Safari browser, but only in portrait orientation. In Safari (13.0.5) on my Mac, where the pictures in my original post were taken, the images get messed up sta... (more) |

Question | — |
Images are stretched, not scaled, on narrow browsers This is what my profile page, as of current writing, looks like on a normal width browser: Normal-height profile This is what it looks like once the browser window is sufficiently narrow: Stretched out profile I'd have thought that the image should be scaled, rather than oddly stretched. ... Agreed: the Tour barely helped with anything. If we’re reinventing the wheel here we can do it much better. (more) |

Question | — |
Is there a way to view all subscriptions in one list? If I navigate to my list of question subscriptions, all I see is my subscriptions for the current community. The user profile syncs across all sites; is there a way to combine all of the question subscriptions into one list as well? (more) |

What defines an "interesting" question? On the sidebar I see the following widget: Image alt text "New question" is pretty self-explanatory, but what does "interesting question" mean? What are the requirements for a question to be considered "interesting"? (more) |

Question | — |
"Tour" for new users? Hi everyone! I'm joining the bandwagon coming from SE. I've been active over there for just over four years, so needless to say that I'm very familiar with that platform. Codidact shares a lot of similarities with SE: it's got Markdown support, the sidebar works similarly to that of SE, etc. But t... (more) |
