Comment Post #285553 The thing is, some people are easily offended; others aren't. Just because someone finds something offensive doesn't mean it objectively is wrong or harmful. When it's a username or photo, and everyone has to look at it, it should be changed. But nobody is forcing you to look at someone's profile.

Question Marking notifications as "read" one by one = empty blue circle.
Marking notifications as "read" one by one ends with an empty blue circle with no number. Notifications blue circle Refreshing the page will make the circle go away. This was seen in a Chromium-based browser.

Comment Post #281248 @ShashankVM‭ Your rep didn't decrease because you brought it up. Your rep decreased because you did so with the purpose of creating a "stink" and complaining without reason, and everyone who downvoted wanted to do so. As the devs said, the Easter egg is opt-in. If you don't want to opt in, fine. Just...

Comment Post #281235 @luap42 Not quite. But anyone familiar with the code would know your mistake. It was the first code I tried yesterday, before realizing I had to wait several hours.

Comment Post #281235 Not an Easter egg, but there is an important [hotfix](https://meta.codidact.com/assets/fngm-hotfix.js) that is worth looking at.

Question Make the Current Password field required client side for Account changes
It would be nice if you could make the Current Password field required client side for Account changes. At the moment, it just has a description/label, and fails validation server-side if not entered. Typically, required fields are shown with a red asterisk or something next to them.

Question Search box instead of link
I was looking for how to search, and it took a bit, because I was looking for a box to click and type. A nice feature would be having a box with placeholder text "Search" (and a way to submit) instead of the Search link at the top. See what SE has, or look at the search bar on this page, and put i...

Comment Post #276871 I don't think NSFW content belongs on the site in general. It would be unprofessional. 4chan, makes sense. Reddit, I guess. But it doesn't belong here, IMHO. One flaw in the logic of having a moderator queue for it is that what if a moderator is under the age that should view it? Would you age-restri...

Comment Post #280001 This is a great improvement. It still doesn't indicate which ones I'm "part of", but the complete list is short enough not to matter at the moment.

Comment Post #279663 @Mithrandir24601 Never mind. I removed the 2nd part. It turns out I only had notifications from meta so far (because rep isn't included in notifications yet).

Question Notifications: Reputation Changes
Similar to SE, I would like to see notifications for reputation/score gains and losses.

Comment Post #278493 Agreed, this should definitely be up to the user. Sure, you can look at their "activity" like posts and comments, but users shouldn't be able to see when someone last visited. That's creepy. For example, Telegram has this, but also a setting for users to choose to restrict who can see it, or turn it ...

Question Community dropdown and profile information
I was looking for a way to see what communities I have posted in, or am a "member" of, and I didn't find it. It would be really helpful to have a dropdown like SE does, where I can click a button in the top-right, and see "Current Community" and "Your Communities". As it is, there is no easy w...

Comment Post #278853 If you consider Area 51 of SE, they had metrics for communities to see X users, Y questions, Z answers. Maybe we need something like that.

Comment Post #278050 I think one is enough, because you can always link to a personal page that contains more links on it. Otherwise, maybe 3 or 5 links would be an upper limit if you want to extend it, but I don't see a reason to.

Comment Post #278073 I don't think this warrants its own answer, but I like them at the bottom, because it's the sweet spot between the question and the answers, so I can still see the tags and author while looking at an answer or two.

Comment Post #276933 I don't think this is a good idea. Even medical science becomes up for debate or politicized in this day when people don't agree with the results. Think of science related to pre-born babies, gender issues, or even just COVID-19 itself.

Comment Post #277544 It should also be noted that if I visit a page while not signed in, then sign in in another tab, then return to the previous tab; I cannot upvote there until I refresh the page. Not sure if that's correct or not.

Question Migrate users from deprecated Codidact forum
Should user accounts from forum.codidact.org be imported? Since the forum was deprecated, I read the notice and went to this meta. The top of the meta says that all Codidact sites have the same login, so I assumed this included the forum. I was wrong. Can you either import the accounts or make ...
